‘Hip Hop on Trial’ – Event at Barbican

Brilliant event coming up at the Barbican in London on Tuesday 26th June debating whether hip hop enhances or degrades society. There’s an incredible line-up of hip hop’s finest intellectuals discussing where hip hop is at and where it’s going. Speakers include hip hop scholars such as Michael Eric Dyson and Tricia Rose, as well as hip hop artists including KRS-One, Q-Tip and ?uestlove, and a whole host of other stakeholders, artists, writers and activists. For anyone with an interest in the future of hip hop, this looks like an event not to be missed.
